  • Lend-a-Hand

    23rd May - 10am - 12 noon

    Manor Hospital, Oxford

    Please join us for our first Lend‑A‑Hand coffee morning of 2026!

    A great way to spend a Saturday morning — chat with fellow members in a comfortable, safe space (with tea, coffee and biscuits!), and help with our work. Activities include sewing or stuffing OBBG’s signature cushions, writing messages of encouragement for patients, and preparing our post‑surgery goody bags and patient folders. New members are especially welcome!

  • Renew Programme - Communication

    7th February 2026 10am - 12 noon

    Manor Hospital, Oxford

    This is the 2nd session in our 6 week programme of in-person wellbeing sessions led by Professor Naz Derakhshan.

    This session focuses on Communication; discussingsharing the news with family and children about our diagnosis, as well as longer-term and ongoing conversations about the impact of  treatment.

  • Walk n' Talk

    21st February 2026 - 1.30pm - 3.30pm

    Fyfield Manor, Benson

    Join us for our next Walk ’n’ Talk, led by one of our wonderful members, Chris. We plan to meet at Fyfield Manor in beautiful Benson, where we’ll make our way past the watercress beds and the small nature reserve over to Ewelme — a historic and very pretty village. From there, we’ll head up to the church and almshouses, taking in the lovely views along the way.

    If time allows, we’ll stop at the church to see the famous tomb of Alice Chaucer (granddaughter of Geoffrey Chaucer) before looping round to Fyfield Manor for tea and cake in the medieval dining room, where we can warm ourselves in front of the fire.

  • Renew Programme - Indentity

    7th March 2026 10am - 12 noon

    Manor Hospital, Oxford

    The 3rd in our 6 week programme of in-person, psychological wellbeing sessions, led by Prof Naz Derakhshan.

    The topic for this session is Identity; discussing how cancer can reshape our sense of self, and how to recognise, understand and manage the impact on our identity.

  • Mindfulness and Meditation with Karoona

    2nd May - 10am - 11.30am

    Manor Hospital, Oxford

    Join us for a relaxing morning of mindfulness and meditation, hosted by one of tremendous Trustees Karoona Ramah, who is a trained meditation teacher.

    This in-person workshop is an opportunity to slow down, feel at home in your body, and reconnect with a steady sense of calm and inner peace.

    Tea, coffee and biscuits provided.

Midsummer Mindfulness
