It was so fast and furious from diagnosis to surgery, dealing with the physical and practical impacts. Whilst all this was happening there was the emotions and the fear about the unknown and life ahead with cancer. Things changed for me when I suddenly felt like I had control back over my situation. Surgery and care played their part but also having my ‘A’ team around me. This extended from family and dearest friends who were outstanding in their support to me as well as OBBG where I found my tribe…. the moment I was back in a bikini 3 months after surgery was particularly sweet plus business volunteering in Ghana.
